Scholastic Book Fair: Family Preview Day
Saturday, December 6th from 3:00-6:00pm

The Book Fair is coming, and we are hosting a Family Preview Day!
Please come shop the book fair during our preview day! Feel free to come with or without your kids. You will be one of the first shoppers and it's a great opportunity to search for holiday gifts and/or assist your child with picking out books!

Scholastic Book Fair
Monday, December 8th thru Friday, December 12th

During each school day from December 8th through 12th, students will have the opportunity to shop the Scholastic Book Fair! We will have hundreds of books available, including bestsellers, new releases, and classics. Students may pay with cash, check, or electronically with eWallet; you can set up your child's eWallet on our school's Book Fair page HERE!

Please sign up to volunteer during our Book Fair HERE! We will need help during the school week, as well as at the Family Preview Day and at Love of Reading Night. If you have teens who need SSL hours, they can also help at the non-school day events!
Love of Reading Night (and PTA General Body Mtg)
Tuesday, December 9th from 6:00-7:00pm
SES All Purpose-Room and Media Center

On Tuesday, December 9th from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, students and their siblings are invited for a cozy evening at SES - join us for milk and cookies (pajamas optional!) and to hear stories read by some of the Sherwood teachers and staff! The Book Fair will also be open starting at 5:30pm through the event, so parents can shop while kids are listening to stories. Let us know you're coming HERE!
Restaurant Night at Chick-Fil-A Olney
Thursday, December 11th from 5:00-9:00pm

On December 11th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm, we will have a Fundraiser at the Olney Chick-Fil-A! All in-person, mobile, or drive-thru orders during that time frame will benefit Sherwood Elementary. If ordering in-person or drive-thru, please mention Sherwood Elementary; for mobile orders, write "Sherwood Elementary" in the order comment section (please note, the fundraiser does not apply to third-party delivery orders through DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.).
Annual Staff Holiday Cookie Exchange
Monday, December 14th and Tuesday, December 15th

Calling all families! Our Annual SES Cookie Exchange is just around the corner!!!
Bring 2 dozen cookies, brownies, bread, candy or other treats that are store bought or homemade. All are welcome and greatly appreciated!

Please remember to label any allergens if applicable.

It is a great event that ensures ALL of our 95 staff members receive a special treat from an SES family.

You can drop off your goodies in the main office on Monday, 12/15 or Tuesday, 12/16. We will arrange in the staff lounge on the morning of Wednesday, 12/17 for staff to take a goody bag of treats home. Sign up HERE!
