Board President
Hello! My name is Ticona Fillah, and I am so excited to serve as Board President for the 2026-2027 school year! I am a native Maryland & Moco resident and am married with two girls. My husband Vince is also a native Maryland & Moco resident, and owns a barbershop in Olney. Our girls are Emerson, who is in 5th grade, and Ellington who is in 1st grade.
I am looking forward to working with my fellow PTA board members and school leadership to make our Sherwood ES community an amazing experience for the kids, teachers, and administration!
Sarah Lowman

My name is Sarah, and I (along with my husband, Patrick) have two kids at Sherwood, one in fifth grade and one going into second grade. I have lived in the Sherwood area for over 10 years; I grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, VA before moving up to Maryland after college. When I'm not happily serving on your PTA board, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my family, reading, and a variety of crafts. Go Sharks!
Michelle Lancaster

Hi everyone! My name is Michelle Lancaster, and I am excited to serve as your new Treasurer! I grew up in a small town in Bergen County, New Jersey and my husband (Carlos) is a native Maryland resident. He is the Owner / Broker of a Real Estate company in Laurel, MD as well as a Real Estate Investor. We have two children: Carlito / Cal (3rd grade) and Morgan (1st grade).
I work full-time in Account Management for an aerospace manufacturing company in Beltsville, MD. I am looking forward to working with my fellow PTA board members and our Sherwood ES community to help facilitate an amazing experience for our children, parents, teachers, and administration!

Hi! My name is Marlene and I am excited for my fourth year on the PTA board. My husband and I have two daughters at Sherwood. They are in fourth and fifth grade. I grew up in Germantown and have lived in Olney for over 10 years. I love volunteering whenever possible and enjoy traveling with my family.
Claudia Aranda

Hi, my name is Claudia. My husband and I are the proud parents of Victoria, an SES fourth grader. While we aren't native Marylanders (Vicente was born in California and raised in Washington state, and I was born and raised in Texas), we are proud to have called Montgomery County home since 2012. We are grateful to now be a part of the SES community.
In my professional life, I have used my legal background to uncover barriers to fair housing and to promote diversity, equity and inclusion principles and best practices. I am excited to serve on the Sherwood PTA board, help support our school community, and connect with other SES families.
Bridget Roberts

Hi, I’m Bridget! I have one child at Sherwood, Spencer in 4th grade. I also have two girls, Hailey in 7th grade and Maddie in 9th grade. I grew up outside of Philadelphia but my husband grew up in Maryland and we moved to the area more than 10 years ago. I work full time, and in my free time I enjoy reading, travel, knitting and driving to as many soccer practices and games as possible :)

Hello! My name is Nicole and I’m thrilled to serve on the PTA Board this school year! I grew up in Montgomery County and am proud to be raising my family here.
My husband and I have three beautiful girls. Two attend Sherwood Elementary—one is in second grade, and the other is in fifth grade. Our family enjoys attending community events, visiting theme parks, and cheering on our girls at weekend sporting events.
We love being a part of this community!
